MACHEDA NEEDS TO TAKE HIS CHANCE

Manchester United youngster Federico Macheda believes that he needs to step up his game if he is to have a future at The Red Devils. The 20 year old Italian has been loaned out by manager Sir Alex Ferguson to Queens Park Rangers so that he could learn the game under manager Neil Warnock.

But with the sacking of Warnock and the arrival of Mark Hughes as new manager, Sir Alex’s plans seem to have gone astray. However, the Italy Under-21 international believes that it will not be a problem as Sparky, being a former Manchester United player having played under Sir Alex for 9 years, will know exactly the same as Sir Alex.

The youngster has endured a frustrating couple of years at Old Trafford after bursting onto the scene with the winning goal against Aston Villa in a 3-2 win in the dying minutes of the match, a game that went a long way in deciding the fate of the title that season. Macheda was sent out on loan to Italian club Sampdoria in January last season but he could not get enough games there and the club ended up being relegated.
